Scope of Work:

  • Estimating and reporting calculations of Forest Reference Emission Level(FREL).
  • Public discussion and FREL estimation training, including preparing experts who can be speakers in public discussions and FREL estimation training.
  • Arranging Safeguard Information System
  • Strategies for reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD +), including but not limited to estimating the contribution of regional activities to emission reductions.
  • Registration of strategy documents (REDD +) into the national registration system
  • Approaches for Measurement, Monitoring and Reporting on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation

Scope of Work:
Climate and Society will provide services to organize logistics for GCF Roadmap Meeting in Jakarta and Balikpapan. This include arranging accommodation and transportation arrangement, venue (if applicable), and other logistical needs. A coordinator will be in charge during preparation and the meeting day in Jakarta.
MAPPING AND ANALYSIS OF SOCIAL FORESTRY INITIATIVES IN THE ACHIEVEMENT OF TARGET NDC

Scope of Work:

  • The selection of provinces and locations of social forestry (PS) for conducting studies that have the potential to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation
  • Analysis of the potential of natural forest carbon stocks in selected provinces of social forestry
  • Historical analysis of changes in natural forest cover to determine the provincial reference emission level and identify the main drivers of deforestation and forest degradation in social forestry areas
  • Identify the role of social forestry in reducing pressure on natural forests
BASELINE / ENDLINE AGROFORESTRY MULTISTRATA STUDY AND PLAN / PROGRAM / ACTIVITY OF EXISTING FOREST MANAGEMENT FROM BATUTEGI AND AGUNG UTARA CITY, WEST COAST AND LIWA, LAMPUNG PROVINCE FORESTRY

Scope of Work:

  • Arranging Forest Reference (Forest Reference Level) for KPHL Batutegi and Agung Utara city, West Coast and Liwa in order to implementing avoided deforestation and forest degradation activities, forest conservation, and increasing forest carbon stocks to improve environmental services for drainage basin (DAS) water; including supporting a coffee agroforestry baseline economic survey.
  • Reviewing Batutegi KPHL and KPHL RPHJP Agung Utara city documents in relation to the framework of implementing avoided deforestation and forest degradation activities, forest conservation, and increasing forest carbon stocks to improve environmental services for drainage basin (DAS) water.
  • Synchronize forest management plans / programs / activities from Batu Tegi KPHL and Agung Utara City KPHL by considering TNBBS, programs, Forestry Services, Lampung Province RPJMD related to REDD +, especially those that have the potential to reduce emissions and increase greenhouse gas uptake and contribute to reducing erosion and sedimentation of Way Sekampung drainage basin (DAS) ;
  • Supporting shop houses in the development of social forestry plans / programs to contribute to reducing emissions and increasing greenhouse gas uptake as well as improving environmental services in the Way Sekampung drainage basin (DAS) into the Village Climate program.
  • Facilitating the process of registering climate village activities in the Batutegi KPHL area and Agung Utara City in the KLHK SRN (Sistem Registrasi Nasional).
  • Develop and arrange guidelines for a system of monitoring and evaluating social forestry activities as a Climate Village program that contributes to reducing emissions and increasing adaptation to climate change.
  • Strengthening the capacity of the Batutegi KPHL, the Agung Utara City KPHL, the West Coast KPHL and the community implementing the Social Forestry program to monitor and evaluate the Village Climate program and measure its impact on reducing emissions and increasing GRG uptake and its contribution to the community economy.

MITIGATION ACTIONS FOR THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

Scope of Work:

  • Analyze and review Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDCs) as the basis for transfer to NDCs and mitigation actions for the agricultural sector.

  • Develop mitigation actions and policy strategies for reducing GHG emissions in the agricultural sector.

  • Develop policy recommendations based on the results from 1.2.3 for the adoption of mitigation actions for the agricultural sector.

  • introduction of policy recommendations for mitigation actions to decisions-makers (workshops, dicsussion).
